We are proud to highlight that during President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s State of the Nation Address (SONA), the President gave special recognition to the country’s economic zones as vital economic drivers. The President emphasized the role of ecozones in turning investments into actual economic progress and sustaining continuous growth across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Excerpt from the State of the Nation Address (SONA)
“Our productive ecozones lay down the fertile groundwork that brings these investments into actual fruition, posting consistent growth rates over the past three years. Extending beyond Metro Manila — from Luzon to Mindanao — promising new areas have been recently proclaimed, such as in Dumaguete and Misamis Oriental. And soon, we will also present a strong case for Palawan and for the Halal industry.”
