In compliance with RA 11285, An Act Institutionalizing Energy Efficiency and Conservation, Enhancing the Efficient Use of Energy, and Granting Incentives to Energy Efficiency and Conservation Projects Act, all designated establishments, private or public entity identified by Dept of Energy (DOE) as energy intensive industries based on their annual energy consumption are required to have a Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
A Certified Energy Manager (CEM) must be trained, passed the CEM examination and submit all requirements set by the DOE Accredited Training provider based on the law. The deadline for accreditation was last Dec 31, 2023. Though we are given until April 15, 2024 for an extension, we requested DOE-R7 for a reconsideration on the condition of an assured training schedule by an accredited training provider on or before Dec 31, 2024.
MEZ-FAMEA in partnership with J3 Trainers & Consultancy Inc, a DOE Accredited Training provider will conduct a 7-day Energy Manager Certification Course on May 25-31, 2024. We will have the 3-days self-paced learning on Mar 25 to 27-, 2024- and 4-days face to face learning with workshops on May 28 to 31,2024. Goldberry Hotel, Lapu Lapu City is the tentative venue for the face-to-face training. Registration fee is Php 19,500.00/pax to cover the accreditation certificate, snacks and meals, copies training materials and other miscellaneous fee and expenses.
