SUBJECT: Korean Government Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Workshop


The Korean government thru KTNET is organizing a workshop on April 25-26, 2024 in Cebu and would like to invite exporters who trade with Free Trade Agreement (FTA) countries to update these exporters on a new platform that will facilitate trade with these countries. I am attaching herewith the program of the whole two day workshop for your information.

They will be inviting exporters from different sectors (minimum of 10 and maximum of 15).

Please advise your interest to participate. Since MEPZCEM is a sector of PhilExport Cebu, we are allocated a minimum of 10 and maximum of 15 slots. 

A maximum of 20 exporters will be invited to Korea for the next stage of the training.

The Plan(Draft) for the Workshop Including Interviews with Philippine Export Companies

  • Background and purpose
    • Sharing the status of PSR (Product Specific Rules) analysis targeted at stakeholders in the recipient country and developing a joint verification plan for the analysis results.
    • Introducing the ‘Philippine FTA Integration Platform Project’ to Philippine export companies to increase their interest in the project.
    • Gathering requirements related to the construction and activation of the platform through interviews with Philippine export companies.
    • Finalizing the Master Plan target model and checking issues through consultation with stakeholders in the recipient country.
      – However, depending on the progress of the second local survey, the wrap-up meeting may be postponed to May 3rd (Friday).
