Knowles Philippines Partners with DOST–AMCeN to Advance Manufacturing Innovation

Knowles Philippines achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first private organization to partner with the Advanced Manufacturing Center (AMCeN) of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST). This strategic collaboration reinforces Knowles’ commitment to innovation and leadership in advanced manufacturing, formally established on November 26, 2025.

AMCeN is DOST’s premier facility for industrial design, rapid prototyping, and advanced manufacturing technologies, established to strengthen the country’s global manufacturing competitiveness.

The partnership was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing held at Knowles Philippines, with messages of support from DOST–MIRDC Executive Director Robert Dizon and Knowles Vice President and Managing Director Joseph Emmanuel Liwag.

At the core of this collaboration is Project TINGOG (Thermal and Impact-Resistant Numerical Geometry Optimization of Graded Cable Mandrels for Acoustic Semiconductor Manufacturing Applications). Through joint research and development, Knowles is leveraging AMCeN’s expertise in additive manufacturing, materials development, and testing to optimize Cable Mandrel fixtures. The project is currently underway and is targeted for completion by March 30, 2026, culminating in training and technology transfer to Knowles.

This partnership accelerates innovation, enhances operational efficiency, and affirms Knowles’ role as a cornerstone of modern manufacturing—embracing design freedom, sustainability, and agility through advanced manufacturing technologies.
