Knowles Philippines Advances Sustainability with 1.8 MWp Solar Power Project

This year 2026, Knowles Philippines has successfully completed and commissioned a 1.8 MWp roof‑mounted, on‑grid solar power system, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability, operational resilience, and long‑term energy efficiency.

Spanning approximately 8,000 square meters of rooftop space, the system is designed to generate about 2.4 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy annually, reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 1.0 million kilograms of CO₂e per year. This initiative represents a critical milestone in advancing Knowles’ carbon neutrality roadmap toward 2030.

The installation was executed to the highest standards of safety, structural integrity, and regulatory compliance, including rigorous technical evaluations to meet stringent wind and typhoon‑resilience requirements. The successful delivery of the project was made possible through the full support of the Philippine Export Zone Authority (PEZA), and in close collaboration with key regulatory partners, including our Distribution Utility – MECO, the Department of Energy (DOE), and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).

This investment strengthens Knowles Philippines’ energy resilience while underscoring the company’s continued focus on responsible, sustainable manufacturing.

MEPZCEM is proud to recognize and congratulates Knowles Philippines on this milestone achievement in advancing sustainability.
