MEPZCEM Chamber, Inc. Attends 2nd Quarter CICAC Meeting; Commends BOC Port of Cebu for Proactive Dialogue and Collaboration

Underscoring its commitment to fostering a seamless and efficient trading environment for its members, MEPZCEM Chamber, Inc. actively participated in the Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Cebu’s 2nd Quarter Local Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (CICAC) Meeting. The event was held on June 24, 2026, at the Summit Galleria Cebu.

The quarterly assembly, convened by District Collector Alexandra Yap-Lumontad, served as a vital platform for customs officials and key industry stakeholders to align on recent technological updates and procedural advancements. The meeting featured crucial presentations on priority programs, including updates on the Super Green Lane (SGL) Program by Head Secretariat Atty. Nicolas R. Kyamko III, E2M updates by Mr. Jonathan T. Soriano of the MISTG, and developments on the Electronic Tracking of Containerized Cargo (E-TRACC) System by Mr. Antonio Puda of Ascent Solution Philippines, Inc.

During the open discussions, MEPZCEM Chamber, Inc. took the opportunity to raise pressing operational concerns faced by ecozone locators. The Chamber expressed its sincere gratitude to the BOC Port of Cebu management for providing a transparent avenue for dialogue.

In recognition of its unwavering support, MEPZCEM Chamber, Inc. was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Bureau of Customs.
