CEBU, PHILIPPINES – On April 17, 2026, the Customs Industry Consultative and Advisory Council (CICAC) formally presented a “Manifesto of Support” to District Collector Alexandra Yap-Lumontad, citing her transformative leadership in transparency and operational efficiency.
The Mactan Export Processing Zone Chamber of Exporters and Manufacturers (MEPZCEM), a proud and active member of CICAC, stood at the forefront of this endorsement. MEPZCEM officials emphasized that the collaboration within CICAC has been a “game-changer” for the region, directly contributing to:
- Accelerated Trade Facilitation: Streamlining movement for the export and manufacturing sectors.
- Proactive Issue Resolution: Providing a vital platform to resolve regulatory and logistical bottlenecks efficiently.
- Strengthened Integrity: Building a culture of professionalism and accountability within the Port.
District Collector Yap-Lumontad thanked the stakeholders, noting that the Port’s success is a “collective responsibility.” Supported by members like MEPZCEM, the Port of Cebu remains committed to the directives of Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno to advance trade facilitation and secure, transparent border protection.
